How SFO Airport's IT Department Runs Smoother with Real-Time Flight Information

As one of the busiest airports in the U.S., how does SFO's IT department keep its travelers, operations team, and staff updated on the latest flight information efficiently?

For the IT department at an airport as busy as SFO, keeping track of all the moving parts and flow of flight data is mission critical. They're in charge of delivering accurate, up-to-date flight information to all of their constituents - from the data base which feeds operational systems like the Air Traffic Control tower, as well as powering terminal and gate displays to content on SFO's web and mobile sites. SFO's IT department keeps the airport running smoothly and provides a great customer experience, all by integrating real-time flifo data. Previously, SFO used to pull flifo data from all the airlines that it services, which was a huge job and caused a lot of IT headache.
